SC Borbense – Luís Mendes takes charge of the Under-9s

Luís Mendes is yet another home-grown figure to take the reins of a youth team, following a career entirely linked to his local club – first as a player and, more recently, as a coach. Having begun his journey in the youth ranks, coaching the Benjamins alongside manager Pedro Clérigo, he now embraces this new challenge with great conviction, determination and a firm resolve to give this group a fresh impetus as they make the transition from 7-a-side to 11-a-side football. In the 2026/2027 season, he will be supported by other members of the coaching staff, whom we will announce in due course, thereby ensuring continuity and experience in the work carried out with our young players and preparing them for the ‘leap’ to 11-a-side football. We wish the entire coaching staff every success in this new season as they serve the club.
