SC Borbense – Futsal

SC Borbense - Futsal

This Sunday morning saw the presentation of our Senior Futsal team for the 2026/2027 season, in a match against Seixal Clube 1925 which ended in a 3–3 draw.

Despite a few absences, it was a closely contested match, with the outcome in the balance right until the end.

But this morning was about much more than just football. At the suggestion of our futsal team, SC Borbense paid a simple tribute to someone who, throughout his life, served our club and, in particular, the sport of futsal: our friend and physiotherapist José Maria Teixeira, who recently passed away.

A simple tribute, in keeping with who we are and how we like to do things, but full of meaning and gratitude for everything he meant to the Borbense Family.

A word also for the two young men who accepted the invitation to referee this match and who showed they could well be the future of refereeing. Well done on your initiative and your performance!

Finally, a very special thank you to the family of our friend José Maria, who, right from the start, agreed to be with us at this very special moment for all of us.
