SC Borbense – The Guadiana Cup

A message from the coaches:

Good afternoon everyone Between 27 and 30 June, SC Borbense’s Under-10s team took part in the Guadiana Cup in Vila Real de Santo António, one of the most prestigious youth football tournaments on the Iberian Peninsula. It was an extraordinary experience in every respect, crowned by an honourable 4th place finish amongst the 46 participating teams. However, the greatest source of pride was being awarded the Fair Play Award, a distinction that rightly and deservedly recognises the exemplary behaviour of our players throughout the tournament. This award also belongs to all the parents, family members and supporters who accompanied the team, backing the young players with enthusiasm, respect and infectious joy, and playing a decisive role in creating a festive atmosphere and upholding the values we aim to convey through sport. We are convinced that we represented and honoured the name of Borba and its people in the best possible way, both on and off the pitch. Our participation was only made possible thanks to the support and sponsorship of various companies and individuals, to whom we extend our most sincere and heartfelt thanks. Everyone’s trust, generosity and contribution were fundamental in providing our athletes with an unforgettable experience, full of learning, friendship and personal and sporting growth. A huge thank you to everyone!
